You know it’s love when you’re obsessed while sewing and can’t wait to get pictures taken the second you’re finished. It’s also telling when a make gets onto the blog shortly afterward. That’s exactly how I’m feeling about my second version of the Deer and Doe Sirocco Jumpsuit and I can’t wait to share it with you!

My very first Sirocco jumpsuit was such a hit that I knew I’d make it again, but this time in a shorts version. Because I already had this pattern cut and adjusted to my size, this make came together extremely quickly which is saying something since it’s actually a very quick pattern to begin with.

Sizing

I go over details on exactly how I adjusted this pattern for my size in my first version, but here is a quick summary. If you’re scared about making adjustments, let me ease your worries because this pattern is super simple to adjust.

• Graded size 34 bust to size 40 waist. Used size 40 neckband.
• For the shorts version, I shortened the hem by 1 inch.

Fabric

For some reason, I’d never thought to use double brushed poly for this pattern, but I knew I needed this large floral print from the Fab Clique Shoppe the second I saw it. This fabric is even prettier in person. The colors are gorgeous and I couldn’t stop myself from staring while sewing. It’s also opaque and perfect for this pattern. I questioned using such a large print for a romper, but I just couldn’t get the idea out of my head and I absolutely love the end result. I used less than 1.75 yards for my size.

I’m slowly building a jumpsuit wardrobe with this newest make and I’m totally cool with it. These pics were taken out in 22F degree weather because I was way too excited to wait for warmer weather and I knew I wanted natural light to show off how gorgeous this fabric is. I cannot wait until spring/summer finally arrives so I can live in this. It’s super comfortable and I can see myself wearing this for just about every occasion.
