This month’s Stitch Fix came way faster than I realized so I didn’t get a chance to leave a note for my stylist, but I was happy to see that I had the same stylist and that she had some great picks for me. Jessee has styled three boxes for me now and I love that we’ve been able to work on building up my wardrobe piece by piece.
Recap on how it works:
1) Fill out your Style Profile and schedule your first Fix.
2) Use your Pinterest board to your advantage! Pin what you love/hate and make notes. (Check out my board HERE.)
3) Get your Fix in the mail and decide what to keep and what to send back in the prepaid envelope.
4) Make notes on what you loved/hated in the Fix so your stylist knows for your next Fix.
5) Use the $20 stylist fee toward anything in the box. Keep it all and get 25% off everything.
I was starting to feel like I was seeing the same type of blouses in each of my boxes so I’m glad that this month was switched up a bit with a dress and jacket. The different colors and patterns in this month’s Fix aren’t what I would normally be drawn to, but trying them on definitely made me think differently.
Fun2Fun – Sonoma Striped Sleeveless Top |
This navy blue and orange top fit great. It was a little sheer so I added a black cami underneath. I would have never picked out this color combo so it was fun to try on. I definitely like the cut. Although the color is a little too bold for me, this is a contender because I could see myself wearing this with a cardigan in the fall too. $38 (size XS)
Market & Spruce – Margarit Mirrored Embroidery Knit Top |
I do not usually go for embellished tops like this with the split neck, but I really loved it once I tried it on. The color is spot on and the fit is great. It’s super comfy and I could easily dress this up or down. I also loved that the embellishment carried around to the back of the neckline. This is definitely a contender. $58 (size XS)
Market & Spruce – Spencer Striped Jersey Dress |
This is my first dress from Stitch Fix. I thought the navy blue and white stripes were very versatile. I could definitely wear this year round and dress it up or down. The fit and length were perfect on me which was surprising since I don’t usually have that good of luck when it comes to knit dresses. This is a contender. $54 (size XS)
Pixley – Analisse Anorak Jacket |
I’ve been drooling over the anorak and military jacket trend for a little while now so I was very happy to see this jacket in my Fix. The color is a great tan neutral and I love the feel of the fabric. It fit very baggy on me before I folded up the sleeves and cinched the waist. Without those adjustments, this would’ve completely drowned me. The hood is detachable although I don’t think I’d ever remove it. My stylist mentioned in her note to me that this is a great transition piece and I have to agree. I will definitely be wearing this a lot this season. $88 (size XS)
Level 99 – Glenda Straight Leg Jean |
These jeans were picked out for me because they resembled the same fit as my first Stitch Fix jeans. I passed on the first pair of jeans and I haven’t been able to find a pair of jeans that have been comparable. These jeans are a petite size which was great for length although it was baggier than I normally wear. I realized later that they’re straight and not skinny which accounted for the bagginess. I do like the color though and the waist fit well. $98 (size 0P)
I could’ve easily purchased the entire box this month and gotten my 25% off discount, but I decided to stick to my budget and rule of only getting one item per box. The clear winner of this month’s box is the anorak jacket. It’s on the pricier side of my box, but I love that I can wear it with almost anything as seen above. The dress and the embroidered top also had me second guessing my decision, but the jacket won in the end.
