I’m Simone. I’m a self taught petite sewist and small shop owner! I started my handmade wardrobe in 2018 as a way of doing more of what makes me happy. I didn’t know what I was getting myself into then and still don’t know what I’m doing half the time, but having the courage to do something new has helped me learn how capable I am when I set my mind to it.
We’re a geeky family of four with my husband, Andrew, and our kids, Jadon and Isabelle. Andrew teaches the kids the importance of Star Wars and video gaming while I instill my love of Disney and Comic-Con. We’re always up for an adventure and you’ll often find us with our next vacation already planned.
My husband gave me my first sewing machine for Christmas in 2010. Though I asked for one for awhile, I didn’t make anything substantial until I started making costumes for my kids. For years, I didn’t think to delve deeper and I rarely used a pattern or made anything for myself. All that changed at the beginning of 2018 when I decided to take better care of myself. By focusing on doing more of the things I love, that’s when sewing really became a large part of my life.
Outside of the bare minimums I learned back in junior high, I am a self taught sewist and learned everything I know along the way. I don’t have all the best tools or know exactly what I’m doing with each project, but being able to complete a project from start to finish is the most amazing feeling and I’m reminded of how capable I am every time I see it.
I launched my label shop in March 2021! Featuring cotton and woven options, these sewing labels are designed with luxe and whimsy in mind and are the perfect finishing touch to any handmade garment. Being able to make and wear your own clothes is a rewarding process and I wanted labels that added to that magic. Labels aren’t a necessity, but they’re definitely a fun way to add an even more personal touch.
Since then, I’ve added candles, stickers, and tote bags. I hope these mindfully designed products give you that extra boost of magic each time you use/see them.

I’m a big believer in representation and creating content that is easily accessible. Everything I learned as a maker was self-taught as an adult so I know how valuable these resources can be. For these reasons, I made the choice to keep my blog ad-free and my posts viewable by everyone.
If you have the means and want to further support me and my content, you can buy me a coffee on Ko-Fi (I get 100% of the donations) or shop my favorite products on Amazon (I get a small commission at no extra cost to you).
